Etsa Nantu / CÁmAra SHUAR, a Community Filmmaking Lab in the Ecuadorian Amazon.

Led by Domingo Ankuash, the lab has provided film and audiovisual workshops to Shuar youth and adults. It has also produced several documentaries that have been selected and screened at national and international film festivals.

Our approach is to provide Shuar communities in the Ecuadorian Amazon with audiovisual tools that enable them to document, preserve, and share their culture, while strengthening their capacity to defend their territories and their way of life.
OSA DEL CHOCÓ
A hungry bear is on the brink of death at the hands of an activist farmer. A biologist dedicated to the study of bears must confront her to prevent a massacre. This encounter will forever transform the way both women perceive life. Meanwhile, the defenders of the forest are engaged in a legal battle against a powerful mining company supported by the government.
